From the moment we're born people are deciding things about us.
She's this type or that type.
What we perhaps don't realize soon enough is that often, these people are either ignorant, jealous, or speaking to further their own agenda.
They don't decide who we are. Only we do.
But, people let these other people influence them, whether consciously or unconsciously, and decide their life path based on what other people have told them about themselves.
And sometimes people have mistaken beliefs about themselves for other reasons, like I'm not good enough, smart enough, articulate enough, whatever enough, and decide a path based on these untruths.
Building a life based on mistaken beliefs is hiding from your real life. What you're really meant to do.
Don't waste time on how others perceive you. It doesn't matter.
Eventually, a fake life will come crashing down, no matter what you do to try to hold it together, because it's not based on the truth of oneself.
It takes courage to believe in yourself. And energy to do what you need to do. But we have to. We all eventually get to a point where there's no other choice.
When a thing is built on the truth of who you are, it will take root and grow in the right direction. Everyone around you will benefit, and your life will unfold as it should.
We can't fool life. It's given to us for a reason. We are meant to engage in life honestly.
