We Have the Power
In this morning's meditation I asked Sivananda to be with me, and tell me what I need to know about the current moment.
He came and pointed toward a path. My feet lifted off the ground and I floated head first toward it.
I reached a tall pile of dark, thick dirt. I floated into it and didn't like this meditation. How could I get through? I'd suffocate in there.
So I stopped and asked to start again.
This time I dove into the ocean. And again, reached the same pile of dirt.
I knew this was my message, no matter how much I didn't like it. So I let go and went with it.
I floated into the dirt, which, by the looks of it, I'd certainly get stuck in.
Instead something in me got me through. And by the time I came out the other side I'd developed a strong mermaid's tail pushing me forward.
I was a different person on the other side.
I kept swimming, coasting through the water with my powerful, beautiful tail.
It wasn't smooth going. Things came at me that I had to get through. I couldn't tell what they were until they were upon me.
But I now knew I had the power to get through whatever came my way.
